Government House, S.E. [i.e. South-East] Entrance, Grenada, 1890 - 1893

Reference Code: GBR/0115/RCS/Y30771A/2

Scope and Contents

318 x 216 mm. A view looking across the garden and drive towards Government House, in front of which stands a landau with a uniformed driver. This new, brick built Government House was commenced while the previous Governor, Sir Walter Sendall, was away from the island in 1886, the year after Grenada became the headquarters for the Windward Islands administration. The figure standing on the steps leading up to the house is probably Sir Walter Hely-Hutchinson.

  • Creation: 1890 - 1893
