Scope and Contents
188 x 133 mm. A view looking towards the northern end of Port Elizabeth with the sea on the right and the outer suburbs of the town on the left. The railway line skirts the foreshore. In the left foreground is the Port Elizabeth Iron and Brass Foundry with the chimney of the gas works beyond. Photograph reproduced in Redgrave (p 136) and there dated 1878.
