Scope and Contents
An album of uncaptioned prints, measuring approximately 200 x 150 mm, recording the visit to Kano State of Lady Tweedsmuir, British Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1972-74) and of Sir Cyril Pickard (his farewell visit as British High Commissioner).
Most of the photographs show Lady Tweedsmuir and Sir Cyril and Lady Pickard meeting the military governor, the emir, and other dignitaries and officials, exchanging gifts, and as guests of honour at a lunch hosted by the Governor.
