Handub: From Signallers’ Hill, looking towards Otao, 1885
Scope and Contents
203 x 151 mm. A view looking westward over part of the camp from Signallers’ Hill (which is probably the hill at the right of the preceding print) with the Otao railway stretching away into the desert. The layout of the camp is clearly seen here with rows of tents erected inside a zariba of thorny mimosa trees. Shallow wells have been dug outside the stockade.
