Scope and Contents

206 x 157 mm. A view looking across an open courtyard towards the store, a fine example of the coral architecture of Suakin with particularly large and impressive ‘roshans’, the characteristic casement windows made of Java teak openings, carvings and other embellishments. A group of Arabs and a few Europeans stand in the courtyard facing the photographer.
