151 x 97 mm. The caption continues: 'The cow pats are dried and used for fuel, also to mix with clay for making their floors. It polishes up very well. There are very few trees in Basutoland [i.e. Lesotho]. This burning of dung is a serious problem in the country, for it should go back into the earth. 1950.' Although uncredited in this album, an identical photograph credited to Killie Campbell is held in an album at the Killie Campbell Africana Library under the reference Album D34/001-197.Basutoland Customs.BRN 310846.
