101 x 150 mm. The caption continues: 'showing large turnip like bulb partly out of ground (centre). The Bushman used to stick their arrows into this bulb, which has a very strong poison, and grows all about this bushveld country. 1950. Northern Transvaal.' The photographer is unknown. An identical photograph is held in an album in the Killie Campbell Africana Library under the reference Album d45/001-100 Album No. 1 Bushmen 29505 [BRN350578].
