Scope and Contents
A series of letters from Lanning to his mother and uncle outlining his work as an assistant at the Lavingtons’ estate near Kitale, including accounts of the cultivation of coffee, maize, and other crops. Lanning describes his social life among the European community and travels in the region for work or recreation (circa 150 sheets).
