Contracts, along with a small amount of correspondence and other documentation, relating to non-commissioned writers who submitted sketches for inclusion in the first six series of Spitting Image, as well as special episodes produced during that period. Spitting Image Productions Limited encouraged members of the general public and non-contracted professional writers alike to submit short sketches, known as 'quickies.' Contracts relating to successful submissions were sent to the writers after the episode containing their sketch(es) had been aired, sometimes at the tail end of a series or once it had concluded.
