Scope and Contents

A box containing an open-reel film and four sub-files, relating to the puppet film, The Milkman: A Satire on Capitalism, along with other items connected to Roger Law's stay in the United States of America between 1967 and 1969. The following items are present: a 16mm open-reel film that contains a documentary on the making of the film, recorded by Jimmie Neidhardt; a file containing scripts, a shot breakdown, a rehearsal schedule, and other notes; a file with black and white photographs, along with contact prints and four 35mm slides, which provide shots of the film set, the puppets, and those working on the project; a file of prop credit cards, and newspaper cuttings that are in different shapes (their use is unknown); and a file with documents that contain the names of students involved in the making of the film.

Also present is a file that contains miscellaneous black and white photographs of Bob Dylan, Tuesday Weld and U.S. Senator Joe McCarthy, along with a letter and pamphlet received by Roger Law from Luke Lea (né Smith), whom Law drove across the States with from California to New York. The contents of the letter and pamphlet concern an organisation, Yuka Issa, which seeks to lobby companies to build factories in the country and offer part-time jobs. In this last file, there is also an unidentified piece of artwork.
