Granta, 1964
Scope and Contents
Two hardboard woodcuts containing print designs that were used in the commemorative issue of the publication, Granta, in November 1964. The prints were used to illustrate the article, How the West Was Lost. One of the woodcuts features a likeness of the American Republican politician, Barry Goldwater, wearing a cowboy hat and a poka-dot bandana (RL/Pre-/861). The other woodcut features a likeness of James Butler Hickok (also known as Wild Bill Hickok; RL/Pre-/933).
