French Bomber, c 1962
Scope and Contents
A large cartoon mural featuring a felt-tip pen and coloured crayon illustration, created by Roger Law for display at Peter Cook's nightclub, The Establishment. The illustration comments on the bombings committed by the far-right French paramilitary/terrorist group, Organisation Armée Secrète (OAS). The OAS attempted to prevent Algeria's independence from France, and targeted those who supported the Algerian National Liberation Front, including the attempted assassination of President Charles de Gaulle (RL/Pre-/1488).
