File re the 74" Telescope at Kottamia Observatory. Includes an application for telescope time by Dr C. McKeith (Queen's University Belfast) with related correspondence with G. Harding concerning the telescope's balancing problem; correspondence re its old observing steps; a drawing of the Echelle Spectrograph; notes on details of the telescope and safety equipment; various brochures on safety steps/platforms; five photographs and a drawing of powered manlifts; and a reprint titled, 'The Kottamia 74" Telescope' by A.H. Samaha, Helwan Observatory Bulletin No.62 (Cairo University Press, 1964).
