Cooking on Ulendo in a rural area in Northern Rhodesia during the colonial era, 1947 - 1968
Scope and Contents
All cooking was done over a stove made out of a piece of corrugated iron suspenĀded over three stones. Plenty of domestic firewood was always available in the bush. Normal complement of staff was a cook (with kettle) and two houseboys seen here.
