Biographical / Historical
Cambridge Dancers' Club was founded in October 1950 to promote dancing in Cambridge. Its members are predominantly drawn from the University. It provides tuition for both novice and advanced dancers in ballroom and Latin; dancesport; rock and roll; and salsa. A variety of couple and team competitions have been both held and entered by the club including the Varsity match (first held in 1974) and a Cuppers competition. Further information about the club's activities is on its website (www.cambridgedancers.org) together with a history of the club from which some of the preceding notes were drawn.
