The University Archives are generally freely available to the holder of a reader's ticket for the Manuscripts Reading Room at Cambridge University Library, West Road, Cambridge CB3 9DR. Restrictions on access are imposed on certain categories of sensitive record: financial, governmental and personal, by order of the originating body or under data protection legislation. Biographical / Historical

The society existed to cater for undergraduates and others interested in medieval art, history, literature, archaeology and philosophy. It was not a faculty society and was keen to approach medieval studies from an interdisciplinary position. It organised a speaker programme and arranged visits to Cambridge libraries and monuments.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This item was transferred to the University Archives from the Manuscripts Department on 18 October 2007. It had been deposited by the Medieval Society with the Rare Books Department where had been placed in the classmark Cam Papers. It was transferred to the Manuscripts Department in May 1993 where was given the classmark Ms.Add.8968
