Biographical / Historical
The club held its inaugural meeting on 1 December 1932 and was founded to "further knowledge of Scandinavian Culture and to promote intercourse between British and Scandinavian Students". It held a programme of music concerts, play readings and lectures. By 2007 the club had made a minor alteration to its name becoming Cambridge University Scandinavian Society or Scansoc.
