Scope and Contents

The volume comprises society membership lists (front and rear) which are annotated with term and home address, committee positions held and dates of death; and, in the main part of the volume, records meetings of the group. Each entry details the date and location of meeting, the names of those in attendance and gives what may be a score for an unidentified game played between opposing teams from each of the universities.

Biographical / Historical

This group appears to be a [?dining] club consisting of senior members from Cambridge University and Oxford University. It met twice yearly on the second Sunday in May and first Saturday in November. Meetings were held in both Oxford and Cambridge.

This item was transferred to the University Archives from the Manuscripts Department on 28 September 2007. It had been deposited by Sir A.E. Shipley K.B.E., Christ's College, with the Manuscripts Department on 3 October 1922 and had been given the classmark Ms.Add.6367.
