The original envelope was labelled in Aelfrida Tillyard's hand: Letters - St Cuthbert's 1945 after 'V E Day'. The letters are mostly addressed from St Cuthbert's: also the English Church Bungalow, Qolona, Kentani, 26 June and 2 and 9 July 1945; Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth December 1945 and January 1946; Lovedale Missionary Institution April 1946; and Grahamstown May 1946. The file also contains a watercolour sketch of 'Nkwanga - early spring before the real rains came'.
