The papers include Aelfrida Tillyard's personal and biographical records, the most substantial of which are 75 personal diaries in an unbroken sequence dating from 1897 to 1959. The papers also include copies of some of her published works and manuscripts of some of her unpublished writings, in particular those religious works and novels which she wrote in the 1940s and 1950s.
