Misses dead friends - 'partly the pain of not knowing how they stood with God'. Nov. 1952 - another visit from Dr Wynn - 'I .. accept the intellectual and spiritual part and .. maintain a "holy reserve"' about the rest'. Still feels 'chained to the Beloved Community'. Alethea is 'dismissed' and returns from South Africa again in spring 1953. Mention of 'financial difficulties'. Visitors and those visited include Eustace and Phyllis, Helen Megaw and Gwen Raverat.
