Scope and Contents
Tymawr - Lolworth Rectory, Cambridgeshire. Thoughts on departure from Tymawr after 10 years. Leaves Tymawr in early July 1946, spends several weeks in Cambridge, seeing family etc, then goes to live at Lolworth Rectory in Cambridgeshire, 5-6 miles from Girton, to pray for the work of the incumbent (Father and Mrs Lovell are both Franciscan tertiaries), undertake parish work etc. Takes time to get used to 'the world' again and longs for Tymawr. Letters from Tymawr. Description of the church, village people, life in Lolworth generally. Visits from the Bishop of Ely, who takes confession from her. Julius goes to South Africa, threatening never to return, and tries to persuade AT to go with him. Mina and the family remain at Wetenhall Cottage. Writing: finishes revising 'The Glory of the West' and finishes a first draft of 'Christian Old Age'. At back: nature notes and weather notes and a brief history of All Saints, Lolworth.
