Tymawr. There are to be no more tertiaries - AT ponders her fate; further conflict with the Mother; renewed threat of dismissal; renewed doubts re the Mother's sanity; AT is sent away for the month of October again. Lent silence is prolonged to Whitsuntide; Father Northcott suggests she might offer a year's silence at Whitsuntide; AT wishes to ask for perpetual silence. Occasional visions and "showings". Continued ill health: hay-fever, coughs, heart trouble, high blood pressure, cystitis, phlebitis. Continued comment on the war. Visitors include Julius and Phyllis [first time AT has seen her in 7 years]. Dec. 1944 - 'Agatha is almost always with me'. Begins writing a book on Old Age - 'The Glory of the West'. March 1945 - mentions correspondence with K T Butler, Mistress of Girton College, re her bequest of £50 and her diaries.
