Personal diaries: Volume 59, 1941-04-18 - 1942-03
Scope and Contents
Tymawr. Again, less devotional in tone than volume 57: a mix of 'the world', the war and the religious life, in spite of repeated desire to develop a more spiritual outlook. Still in conflict with the Mother; however she permits AT additional silence 'as long as circumstances permit'. Continued ill health, sufficiently bad to prevent her undertaking a retreat. Possibility of selling Fordfield and Wetenhall Cottage. Alethea wishes to go to Maritzburg as a postulant.
