Merton House Cambridge - Oxford - CHF Hostel Cambridge. Personal: general state of ill health; growth in womb. Children: Alethea returns to Malling in Sep. 1934; Agatha commits suicide in Feb 1935; AT copies into the diary a letter which Agatha wrote to her before disappearing. Much toing and froing between Oxford and Cambridge - staying at St Benedict's [Aelfrida’s name for a house at 6 Osney Lane, Oxford which belonged to St Thomas’ Convent], but paying brief visits to Cambridge, chiefly to deal with laundry business, also because of ill health. Detail of convent life; continued concentration on meditation; hasn't achieved 'holy solitude' yet. Writing: final draft of 'The Closer walk with God'.
