Fordfield - Farnham, Letchworth etc etc - Wetenhall Cottage. Personal: still longing for Anthony Wrightson but trying to curtail both that relationship and the intensity of the relationship with Joan Cooper; news of Anthony's engagement; news that Constantine is dying. Children: Alethea takes Social Science Diploma examinations; Sep 1933 - Alethea is received as a postulant at St Mary's Abbey West Malling; Agatha suffers from asthma. Most of this period is spent staying in various places in Surrey, Hertfordshire, Kent, Somerset, London and Cambridge while Wetenhall Cottage is being built - moves into Wetenhall Cottage in Oct 1933. Writing: begins 'The Closer Walk with God'. Religion: church services at St Columba's, St Botolph's and St Giles'; visits St Mary's West Malling, attending services, confession etc; meditation (Ignatian method) and contemplation; Eustace asks her not to influence his children in the matter of religion; 'renewal of Universal Consciousness'; 'the Sacrament seems to become more precious every time I take it'. At back, notes on various nuns at West Malling. Pasted in at back: 3 photographs taken in Cornwall and one of AT with her niece Veronica at Fordfield.
