Fordfield. Personal: continued relationship with Anthony and debate over whether to marry him; further news of Constantine via Alethea - he is posted to Liberia. Children: Alethea is sent home from Paris after having 'screaming fits' - partly to do with her 'curious distaste for men'?, also concern that worry about Constantine may be at the bottom of it - all relations with him are to be severed; Agatha has several operations and a long convalescence; Dr Joan Cooper cares for both A+A; Alethea returns to Paris in hope of getting her job back; unity of AT and A+A is so close that it appears to prevent any of them from sustaining other close relationships. Family: Mina has a hysterectomy; Eustace is offered a fellowship by Jesus College. Visitors include Fidelio; Nadja; the Kapitzas; and Helen Megaw. Activities: Cambridge Steam Laundry business; a cinema visit; taking a women's meeting at the New Cherryhinton Free Church; 3 weeks with A+A in Cornwall. Writing: proofs of 'A Little Road Book for Mystics' and 'Haste to the Wedding' arrive. Religion: church at St Columba's and St Botolph's; a vision in March 1931.
