Perros-Guirec. A month's holiday after Alethea's studies in Paris. Mentions changes in Alethea. Hears the Breton language spoken. More on M Albert Erlande and on his relationship with his wife. Holiday activities. Visits to churches and church services. Writing: lectures; also begins a novel entitled ‘Clash!’, written in French. Erlande tells AT 'Vous avez Dieu dans la tete and le diable au corps'. M Erlande arouses some sort of physical response... in AT but she resists. Begins a novel. Attached at back: 19 postcards of St Malo, St Brieuc, Rennes, Chartres, Tregastel, Perros-Guirec and Ploumanach. Also at back: manuscript poems entitled 'A bathe at Perros-Guirec', 'Swing to the soundless rhythm of all created things' and 'A Pardon at Perros-Guirec'.
