Fordfield; Burlington Cottage, Hunstanton [Norfolk]; Fordfield. Personal: progress of divorce proceedings and dealings with Constantine through solicitors; regular bouts of illness. Children: various illnesses; Phyllis' father offers to pay for their education for the next few years; they are to attend the Perse Girls' School in Cambridge; frequent references to their record books; frequent outings. Family: nephew Stephen is born to Phyllis and Eustace 29 July 1920; AT's father is ill with arterio-sclerosis and gives up involvement with Homerton College and the Perse School; many visits to Eustace and Phyllis in New Square and babysitting for Stephen; Julius is in Johannesburg. Visitors and those visited include Miss Allen of Homerton; Willie Searle; and the Keynes. Places visited include Hunstanton in Norfolk, Oct 1919 and March-April 1921. Activities include a Band of Hope meeting; teaching Italian; being invited to lecture on mysticism in York, though unlikely to go. Writing: March 1920, begins a novel entitled ‘Aaron Lord, Communist’ but abandons it; May 1920, begins a novel entitled ‘All the Blessings of this Life’, whose hero is based on Alethea; revising 'A Little Road-Book for Mystics'; 4 Oct 1920 - 'when diary is neglected, novel flourishes!'. Religion: a 'dream of ecstasy'; every New Year, rededicates herself to 'the Great Work' - to get better understanding and control of her 'universal consciousness'. Pasted in at back: 5 photographs, mostly Julius and Mina, also a faded group photograph including Agatha.
