Flysheet about the diploma of Doctor of Medicine, 1862-07
Scope and Contents
On the requirements for medical students. The English and Scotch Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons, and the Apothecaries' Hall, give diplomas and licences to practise. Legal opinion is that students can be examined and licensed without distinction of sex. No medical school is open to women, but the Apothecaries' Hall is. Offers of help have been received, and it is believed that if two or three ladies offered themselves a separate class would be formed. Unsigned but bears ED's address. 2 copies of flysheet printed by Emily Faithfull at the Victoria Press, Great Coram Street, WC.
