The collection comprises documentation compiled by Mr Beck with some input from Anne McKane, Personal Assistant to J L Reddaway (General Secretary 1982-1992). It incorporates documents relating to his management of the archives and responsibility for historical queries and includes old archive catalogues and museum documents complied by Mr Beck’s honorary archivist predecessors.
The collection of copies of documents includes those taken from Cambridge University Reporters, University Graces and Syndicate Papers which were retained for historical queries and interest. Mr Beck also collected and retained samples of central correspondence files which he thought would have long term interest.
