About:

Cambridge Assessment Archives & Heritage manages the archives of the Cambridge Assessment Group which is the international examinations department of Cambridge University, founded in 1858 as the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). The group includes Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR), Cambridge Assessment International Education and Cambridge Assessment English. Records include those created by the organisation from the late 1880s onwards as well as some records of UK examination boards that have merged with the group, such as East Midlands Regional Examining Board (EMREB) and Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board (OCSEB).
Holdings include:
- Examination publications, including question papers, regulations, syllabuses and examiners' reports
- Lists of successful candidates, 1880s to 1950s (depending on exam)
- Annual reports and statistics
- Executive and major committee records
- Overseas development records
- Examination administration material to c. 1950s
- Research papers from the second half of the twentieth century
