Biography
Zangaki was a commercial photographer active in Egypt in the 1880s and 1890s. Zangaki specialized in views of the Nile, the Pyramids and other antiquities, Cairo scenes and ethnic groups.

Troopship-passing station-Suez Canal, 1888 - 1889
280 x 218 mm. A view looking along the canal with ships moored on the far bank, and a troopship steaming up the canal. The station is the cluster of bungalows, with a flagstaff, on the far bank-presumably military garrisons, or stopping-off places on the journey (descendants of Waghorn’s stations on the overland route from Cairo to Suez?)
