Biography

John Anthony Ernest Kendrew joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1928. He worked in the company's Insurance Departments at Hankow, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tientsin. He was in charge of the Hongkong Fire Insurance Co. Ltd and Canton Insurance Office, and was appointed the Manager of the Insurance Department, Shanghai, in 1949.
