Biography

Geoffrey Charles Purton joined the Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd in 1898, aged 25. He served on the hulk 'Yuenfah', 1906-1917, and was appointed as the Agent of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd at Chungking in 1917. He retired from the company in 1928.
