Vera Elizabeth Luttermann joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1950 and was employed as a secretary/stenographer in the Correspondence Office at Shanghai until her resignation in 1955. She was a German national.

Correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, and Vera Elizabeth Luttermann, secretary-stenographer, Shanghai; Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong; and others, regarding Miss Luttermann's resignation from Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, as a result of its impending closure, with related papers, including staff records of Miss Luttermann.
