Yardley Jardine Ltd (subsequently Yardley Jardine Private Ltd) was incorporated on 31 March 1964 as a joint venture between Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd and Yardley & Co. Ltd of London, perfumers and fine soap makers, for the manufacture and sale of Yardley's products in the Far East. Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd sold its interest in the company to Yardley International Ltd in 1974.
