Hong Kong Airways Ltd was formed by Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd and the British Overseas Airways Corporation in 1947. It operated from Kai Tak Airport, Hong Kong, with Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd acting as the General Sales Agents. The company was acquired by Cathay Pacific in 1959.
