Scope and Contents

The immediate catalyst for the Devlin Enquiry was the student occupation of the Old Schools, 3-5 February 1972, in protest at the General Board's refusal to liberalise the Economics examination programme. The report surveyed existing measures for student participation in University governance and proposed others, including student representation on University bodies.
