The papers consist of drafts for Vincent's autobiography, Flying Fever, with correspondence on its publication.

The papers are almost entirely concerned with his service career, particularly his time as Director of Bomber Operations at the Air Ministry, 1943-45. After the War, Bufton planned a book on the Combined Bomber Offensive, and a draft is preserved at BUFT 5/4. There is also a good deal of reference and research material.

The collection includes scrapbooks containing photographs and press cuttings; family and professional correspondence; speeches and articles; official documents relating to Foreign Office and Suez Canal Company business; and draft notes for Cadogan's autobiography. A series of frank personal diaries with almost daily entries cover Cadogan's career and private life from his appointment as Minister to China in 1933 to his retirement.

This collection consists of letters and accounts of Denniston's code-breaking work in Naval Intelligence in both World Wars and of the setting up of Room 40. There are several photographs of Denniston in Naval uniform and some of the Royal Naval College at Osborne.

The collection relates to Charles Eade's connection with Sir Winston Churchill. It includes Eade's diary of meetings with Sir Winston; biographical material about Sir Winston and Sir Winston's own speaking notes for his speech made on 20 June 1940 which Churchill gave to Charles Eade.

The collection principally consists of draft texts, offprints and correspondence relating to articles, lectures and broadcasts delivered by Hamson. Some correspondence, most of which concerns various honours and offices held, is also included, together with a small number of items relating to Hamson’s school and university education.

The papers include: Millis Jefferis's copies of M.D.1 correspondence; administration files on staffing and weapons development; research files on the development of individual weapons; Macrae's patent claims, which include original material on the development of the weapons concerned; Macrae's diaries from his time at M.D.1; some material from Macrae's memoirs, "Winston Churchill's Toyshop".

Commander Bower's papers consist of press cuttings and correspondence with some of the leading naval figures of the time, chiefly dating from the Second World War and the late 1930's. Subjects covered by the correspondence chiefly include concerns about the state of the Navy (particularly its relations with the Royal Air Force) and also criticism of the leadership of Winston Churchill.

The Papers consist of political papers, correspondence, speeches and press cuttings, mainly relating to Trade Unions, the Ministry of Labour and National Service, and the Foreign Office.

The papers include: papers relating to GPR's anthropological and other scientific work, including involvement in eugenics; papers relating to his political activities, including letters to and from the British Union of Fascists, mostly concerning his 1935 run for Parliament; and large number of documents related to GPR’s 18B detention and internment.

The Wilkinson Papers include three war journals, official telegrams and several files of official correspondence, and provide an extremely valuable record of British Intelligence in the Far East in the Second World War.

The collection comprises unpublished memoirs, articles and other papers relating to Group Captain Williamson’s service in both World Wars and the inter-war period.
