Account by Oatley on the development of radar, particularly his work for the Air Defence Research and Development Establishment. Includes a copy of a paper by Professor Sir John Cockcroft [former Chief Superintendent at the Establishment] on his memories of radar research.

This series includes a number of reports documenting the operations and activities of the Admiralty Experimental stations. Chapters include introduction, organisation, progress, personnel, history of the apparatus, aerials and weather, engines and power supplies, results, defense, and transport.

Possibly used as lecture illustrations after the war.
