152 x 134 mm. The caption continues: 'This is the costume worn just after the initiation ceremonies: white blankets with red stripes. It is death for any woman of their own race to see them, and they cover their faces with the blankets if a woman should appear. The women are warned by children when there are Kwetas about. One defiant woman paid the death penalty in 1946, and those responsible were not punished for this act. 1948.'
