Letter in French from Franchet d'Esperey (Perros par Bubry, Morbihan, [Franche]) to Jacques Balsan reporting that in Constantinople in 1919 Djevad Pasha, a Turkish commander, had told him that the forces defending the Dardanelles were in such a state that had the Royal Navy continued its attack it would have succeeded.
