Scope and Contents 360 x 295 mm. A view from a hill overlooking the town, with Otago Harbour and Quarantine Island in the background. Although the town has been roughly laid out, it has still not grown to any great size, consisting mainly of small bungalows and gardens with a few larger houses here and there. In the foreground a small narrow gauge railway line can be seen, probably used in quarrying stone for roadmaking.
