On the reverse of the print is written '3/01'. If these figures refer to the date of the photograph, the director pictured here would be Joseph Henry Maiden (1859-1925). Maiden was director of the Gardens from 1896-1924, and was the world authority on the Australian species of the Eucalyptus, as well as producing a prodigious variety of other...
