Accession Proclamation of King George V by Podevin the Acting D.C. [Ogoja], 1910

102 x 59 mm. Showing Podevin, in a white suit addressing soldiers of the Southern Nigeria Regiment drawn up on the parade ground at Ogoja. George Sibbit Podevin (1878-1918) served in the South African Constabulary 1901-08 and was Acting District Commissioner, Ogoja May-August 1910 and later at Obudu. Podevin was a Transport Officer in the Cameroons during the Great War and was killed on December 2 1918.
