This file preserves material relating to a visit to the Republic of Dahomey (1960-75, thereafter Benin) during late 1966 and early 1967. It includes a map, tourist leaflets, an itinerary, a Game Reserve permit, a table ‘Animals we Saw in the Game Reserve’, and 19 sheets of notes by Smedley describing travel, food, climate, pests, mileage covered and places visited (circa 50 sheets).
