[A sentry of the 11th Cheshire Regiment in a trench], 1916-07
195 x 145 mm. A soldier of 'A' Company, 11th Battalion, the Cheshire Regiment, keeps watch in a captured German trench near Ovillers-la-Boisselle on the Somme. He crouches on the rear slope of the trench while others rest.
