Collection of loose prints, most measuring approximately 275 x 205 mm., with brief pencilled captions on the reverse. The captions have been used as titles and have been recorded as found. Numbers 1-5 are platinum prints, distinguishable from silver prints by the delicacy and softness of tonal gradation. This fine process, substituting platinum for silver compounds as the light reactive substance in the paper, died out at around the time of the Great War due to the increase in the price...
