At the right of the picture stand European officials and spectators, while at the left stands a group of labourers. The exact date of the ceremony has not bee ascertained. Sir Henry Blake was Governor of Jamaica between 1889 and 1897.

The collection shows towns and tourist spots in Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago, Antigua and Grenada. Photographs by BOAC, plus one print by the Jamaica Tourist Board.
